insulinoma ferret food

Why would a vet should say something exotic, a ferret, if insulinoma pred not need?
Found this rotten vet if my ferret insulinoma Brutus He need not pred and put karo syrup on the gums, so his suagr tends to drop, and everyone knows if there sugar in the blood decreased incidents go Top with sugar, but crashed hard in seconds because there is no provision of proper food, if a ferret work as bad or very low and is not the karo pred on definetley what an insulinoma ferrets must therefore why would they say other wise and where I can so that everyone can have a ferret needs to be warned?
The Karo syrup should be used only if your ferret crashes due to low blood sugar (it should also with a protein-rich foods, like) chicken baby food to be pursued, but he should then be rushed to the vets. Pred is not what * always * used for insulinomic ferrets, but an experienced veterinarian would know that you do not insulinoma with Karo syrup and no other medication or surgery can be treated. Does this vet nothing else to say about any other medications or Surgery, or did she say to use only the syrup? Unfortunately, not all veterinarians are ferrets are the same. Just because she is an exotic and sees ferrets do not necessarily mean They know as much as they should about it. Each time you seek a vet, you should first see the question of how long they have been ferrets, and how often they see it. If you use the "Ferrets for Dummies" book, there is a good section on picking from a veterinarian (page 194-196 in the second edition). If you do not trust that your vet give you the best / proper care, ferret, then start looking for a new one. The best way to keep other ferret owners from using this vet is by word of mouth. As for the reporting, there is no federal law on the vets, each state has its own procedures. Here is a Link, you can suggest that this assistance could be checked: 20here http://www.vetabusenetwork.com/savetoc.htm #% start Good luck with your ferret and the search for a new vet. EDIT: I thought that link would take you without any detours to the right place, but it does not work. Scroll down the page until you see a to see thick red horizontal bar.
